All registrants should have received an email reminder with important information about their site. If you were the registrant for your group and you did NOT receive an email (please check your junk/spam folder) reach out to Sarah if you have any questions.
Important Notes for All:
- Please arrive 20 minutes prior to start time to allow time for parking and check-in. Leaders will start the hike promptly and cannot wait for you if you are late.
- T-shirts and other merch, if applicable, will be supplied at check-in.
- Please be prepared with water and food appropriate for your hiking group.
- Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes and appropriate clothes to protect against insects and the weather. If you are participating in a paddle, you must bring and wear a personal flotation device.
Weather:
The event will carry on in light rain, though will be canceled in the case of severe weather (thunder and lightning). Please use your own judgment before heading out and bring raingear if it looks necessary. Any event changes, if needed, will be posted on the event’s website homepage (lakegeorgehikeathon.org) and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/LakeGeorgeHikeAThon).
Dogs:
Dogs are permitted to join MOST hikes (exceptions: Up Yonda Farm, Prospect Mt, and Buck Mt/Chingachgook) however they must be kept on a leash at all times. Please only bring your dog if you know they do well with crowds, other dogs, and the noise of the helicopter.
After Party:
Hike-A-Thon participants and their friends and family are invited to join us at the After Party! 11:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Bolton Community Center. Visit our After Party Page for details.
