Thank you!!

Wow – just a week ago hundreds of people joined together for the biggest Hike-A-Thon yet, and we’re still reeling here at LGLC!   Though the fog and gloomy morning kept some people away, most of you came out and enjoyed what turned out to be a beautiful morning on the trails.   We can’t thank you enough for being part of this awesome event, and contributing to its success.

You can also now see the amazingly beautiful aerial pictures taken by Carl Heilman!  Go to https://lakegeorgehikeathon.org/2015-photo-gallery/ to see our full photo gallery, and click on the link to Carl’s own gallery.

If you haven’t already, please share your own photos of the event with us!  Find us and share your photos online or email them to shoffman@lglc.org.

Please take our survey!

We also want to know what you think about the Hike-A-Thon, the good and the bad, and get any suggestions you may have for future Hike-A-Thons.  Please take a few minutes to complete our participate survey – thank you!

If you were not able to participate for any reason, please know that we will hold on your bag until July 31.  If you ordered a shirt and/or hat or received a free shirt with your early-bird registration, you can pick them up at our office during normal office hours of Monday-Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.  If you aren’t able to stop in, we can mail the items to you for a flat rate of $5.  Please email or call if you have any questions.

Additional shirts are still available to purchase for the reduced price of $10 each, plus $5 shipping and handling (or save the $5 and pick it up in person!).  Size quantities vary and are limited; call or email to order.

And, lastly, SAVE THE DATE!  Next Hike-A-Thon will be TUESDAY, July 5, 2016!

Happy hiking!

Eyes in the sky

Gerald and Maddy Malovany are the winners of our Spring Appeal drawing and have won a seat in the Hike-A-Thon helicopter this Sunday!  Congratulations!

Thank you to all who have supported LGLC in the past few months, for projects and events like the Hike-A-Thon. There has been a lot going on, and we’ve asked for a lot of help. Your financial and community support has been essential to the successful protection of the Pinnacle in Bolton, and Anthony’s Nose property in Putnam, not to mention numerous outreach and recreational events.

We’re proud to start an equally fabulous second half of the year with the Hike-A-Thon!  Let’s get hiking!
