We’re SO excited here at LGLC, and can’t believe there’s only one week left before the Hike-A-Thon! We’ve had such a great response this year that we have more than 540 hikers and volunteers participating at 12 locations – that’s HUGE! And since our sites are all full, registration is officially closed. Sorry if you didn’t get to sign up, but please try to join us next year, and check in early to get your spot!
Thanks to this great article in the Daily Gazette about the Hike-A-Thon, registrations have been pouring in! The Gull Bay Preserve and Pilot Knob are now FULL and Amy’s Park’s wetlands hike is getting close… we still have space at Cook Mountain, the Last Great Shoreline and the uplands hike at Amy’s Park. Hurry – registration closes on the 26th! #LakeGeorgeHikeAThon #HikeLakeGeorge #LGLandConservancy
Registrations are still coming in strong – we’re up to 400 hikers and volunteers! Seven sites still have space for more hikers, though: Amy’s Park (both the wetland hike and the upland hike), Cook Mountain, Berry Pond, Gull Bay and the Last Great Shoreline, and Pilot Knob! Check them out!
We’re also looking for a few more volunteers – please visit our Volunteer Page for more info.
